Alexa vs Google Home

So which am I going to use?

Full stop.

Look around.

Panic a little.

Then I start to Google things. I think to myself: “If I’m Googling the stuff does that mean I should use Google?” I nod sagely for a moment before being slapped with so much frosty truth: “I may ask Google for advice,” I rub my chin before continuing, “but Amazon is the one who comes to my home. It is Amazon I trust to provide shows and shipments!”

“Yes, yes.” I answer, “but who gives you the blessed Gmail?” I stagger back, wounded by such a blistering repartee. “Is there anything to say? some words? Truly? Is there a counter to the Inbox Argument?” I am left stunned—My breath coming in ragged gasps. I realize I must use the ‘fireTV remote vs chrome cast’ gambit made famous by Donny Langford in the summer of ‘18. I ready myself for the maneuver…

An hour has passed and you’ll find I’m still arguing the finer points of privacy and home video animated with myself in the corner of my office. Eventually, as it so often does in movies, television provides the answer in the background.

“Why not both?”
